Sanjeev Pendharkar, Director, Vicco Laboratories was invited as the President for the induction ceremony of Lotus Business School held on August 1, 2019, in Pune.

The ceremony was organised by Lotus Business School with an intention to advice the students from the first day of college itself as to what they should do while they pursue MBA and what needs to be done once they complete the course and do jobs.

Along with Pendharkar, also present during the ceremony were Mahesh Burande (Director, IPER), Girish Iyer (General Manager and Country Head, CITCO), Dr Satish Warpade (Director, Lotus Business School) and Dr SP Raut (Chairman, Maharashtra State Organic Farming Policy Committee).

While guiding the students Pendharkar expressed that MBA is an increasingly popular degree that offers students the opportunity to advance their career in various facets of the business world. He spoke about the lacunas observed in freshly qualified MBA graduates during placement. Pendharkar stressed upon the importance of defined qualities, soft skills, ability to work with a wide variety of people and the ability to prioritize. Pendharkar advised the students to be patient, persistent and to manage time effectively.

Pendharkar, while addressing the students said, “It has been observed often that MBAs do not have much patience. It takes time to integrate and learn about a new company.” He further said, “The traditional fields of marketing and finance will always remain popular. Those who prefer to crunch numbers and are comfortable relegating to the background with balance sheets may do well with finance specialization. Those who love to interact with clients are creative and innovative, and can influence people easily can choose marketing as their specialization.”
