Sanjeev Pendharkar, Director, VICCO, was invited as a special guest at the International Conference on Natural Products, Quality, Safety and Efficacy held on March 6 and March 7, 2020, at SIES College of Arts, Science and Commerce in Mumbai.

The faculty of Science of SIES College, which is one of the renowned colleges of Mumbai, organized the conference, which brought eminent speakers, leading researchers from academia, industry, entrepreneurs and representatives from government to discuss and review quality, safety and efficacy of natural products.

Addressing the people present during a speech on VICCO products consumers’ satisfaction, experiences around the globe with respect to quality and efficacy, Pendharkar said that the conference was an excellent networking opportunity for people in academia, industry and regulatory agencies.

Pendharkar’s speech was also the emerging trends, concerns and recent approaches in promotion and development of natural products. Pendharkar shared his experiences and explained to the students the side effects products containing chemicals with respect to the time when the market was infiltrated with cosmetic and fluoride packed toothpastes, which were wreaking havoc on the health of millions of people.

Pendharkar informed that the health risk that these products invited were quite appalling, especially for children who used to ingest toothpaste (either inadvertently or purposefully owing to its sweet taste). Pendharkar said that he leveraged his knowledge about ancient healing system to find cure and improve the oral health and lifestyle of people.
