Nagpur ladies doll up for wedding theme party ‘Sawarne lagi main’

It was a sight to behold when pretty ladies made heads turn in the best wedding attires during ‘Sawarne lagi main,’ an event, which revolved around a wedding theme. The ladies, who are a part of an NGO ‘Manaswini,’ let their hair down by enjoying to the fullest.

While Shilpa Rahate and Dr Rupinder Chatwal won ‘Best Theme Attire,’ Asha Sood grabbed the title of ‘Most Stylish Woman.’ Such was the energy and involvement at the do, that women even shook a leg on wedding songs and applied mehendi. Aruna Rahate and Priya Gawai won ‘Best Dancer Award.’ Dr Meenal Nimbalkar, Aruna Rahate and Neetu Khatri were the first, second and third winners resp. of the game ‘passing the parcel.’

Neelam Bowade, founder of Manaswini, said, “Such get-togethers make our bonding strong with one another. We always come up with unique theme parties.”

Manaswini conducts similar parties and activities every three months with an objective of empowering young girls and women through education, skill development, etc. While Rajni Shalot, Aprna Goverdhan and Shardha Purohit were the judges, Indrani Roy Choudhary was anchor of the event.
