Yerawada Police, on Friday, booked a school teacher for neglecting the safety of students on school premises.

The unfortunate incident took place on Monday afternoon at around 1 pm when the students were supposed to attend a dance class. The girl stood back in her classroom as she was feeling a bit sleepy. When the boy returned to the classroom in the absence of other students, he started screaming at the girl for breaking his ruler. In a fit of rage, the boy allegedly stabbed the girl thrice with a geometry divider. The girl, who was bleeding, was taken to a hospital.

The incident came to fore when the girl’s mother took her to a hospital, where she was informed that the injuries were caused due to a sharp instrument.
