Nagpur Police’s Social Service Branch (SSB) busted a high-profile sex racket at Phoenix Spa Centre on Saturday evening. Located at the first floor of Nagpur’s one of the most prominent malls – Empress Mall – near Gandhi Sagar Lake, a sex racket was being run in the name of the spa centre. However, the police have booked four accused – Faizan Raees Sheikh, Manish Lanjewar, Derek Manchendo and Tanvi Chotliya – and rescued two women from Nepal and Bhilai. The four accused still remain absconding.

DCP Crime Nilesh Bharne said that one of the main accused Faizan used to take advantage of women in rural areas living in nearby states. He would promise them a job in Nagpur and subsequently force them into prostitution.

Last year in September, Ganesh Police had busted a sex racket that was being run at ‘N Salon and Beauty’ at first floor in Empress Mall.
