Nagpur’s Shahid Gowari flyover or Adivasi Gowari Shaheed Udaan Pul that connects Rahate Colony to Morris College T Point and vice versa would be made completely operational from tomorrow (February 25). The flyover was earlier shut down for more than 11 days as a viaduct was being laid above the flyover so that it could connect two important metro stations namely Sitabuldi Inter-change and Zero Mile. Few days back, the flyover was intermittently operational but again due to some minor works, it had to be partially shut down.

The flyover would be operational after the East-West viaduct for metro rail is laid over the flyover. However, there are certain ongoing works, which would be completed till Sunday late evening. The Nagpur Metro authorities have received all the certificates from Research Design and Standards Organisation.

Maha Metro is ensuring metro train is operational from March on two stretches and as per sources, PM Narendra Modi could visit Nagpur for the inauguration of Nagpur Metro Rail in the first week of March.
