Will protest if Mumbai-Nagpur expressway is built on farmers’ cost: Shiv Sena

Shiv Sena thorough its mouthpiece 'Saamna' today said that it will protest against the Mumbai-Nagpur expressway if it is built on farmers' cost.

Shiv Sena thorough its mouthpiece ‘Saamna’ today said that it will protest against the Rs 46,000 crore Mumbai-Nagpur expressway if it is built on farmers’ cost. The lands of farmers along the 706 km project site will be acquired to built the expressway. Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray said that this would destroy the lives of the farmers. Sena also said that it will do everything and anything to safeguard the interest of the farmers in the region. Sena also questioned that if the prosperity highway is Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis’ dream project, why can’t the prevention of death of farmers be his dream project too?
