Singers pay an ode to mothers through their melodious renditions at ‘Ashi Aste Aai’ in Nagpur

    Well-known Nagpur singers along with playback singer Farhan Sabri and Zaid Ali (Rising Star Season 2 fame) came together to celebrate Mother’s Day at an event in Nagpur. The event – Ashi Aste Aai – was organised by Tamanna Events and Entertainment in association with Nagpur Municipal Corporation at Suresh Bhat auditorium, Reshimbagh, Nagpur. City singers who regaled the audience with their musical renditions included Shreya Kharabe, Srushti Barlewar and Varsha Barlewar.

    Present at the occasion as chief guests were Nagpur Mayor Nanda Jichkar and Deputy Mayor Deepraj Pardikar. Other prominent guests present at the event were NMC Sports committee chairman Nagesh Sahare, Deputy Chairman of sports committee Pramod Tabhane, Deputy Municipal Commissioner Ravindra Deotale, Nityanand Tiwari and Aasif Khan.

    Speaking at the occasion, Jichkar said, “The entire world revolves around the word ‘Aai.’ A human being can never forget this word in his entire life. Today, in our country, it’s only because of mothers that our culture and values are inculcated in a family. This is the reason that, people abroad praise our culture.”

    At the event Ashi Aste Aai, mothers of citizens who have brought laurels to the city were also felicitated. Those who were felicitated include: Chhaya Meshram (Cricketer Mona Meshram’s mother), Anjali Bhale (Badminton player Vaishali Bhale’s mother), Kalpana Tabhane (International skater Nikhilesh Tabhane’s mother), Sulochna Raut (Athlete Monika Raut’s mother), Godavri Zade, Rekha Shelare, Aruna Gaurkhede, Vandana Anturkar, Mrunmayi Ghanote, Archana Pardhi and Anupama Rambhad.
