Peace Foundation (Promotion of Ethics and Continuing Education) in association with Indian Medical Association (IMA), Nagpur, organised an interesting debate – Is Society forcing Doctors to change – on August 12 at Chitnavis Centre, Civil Lines. The event, which was attended by quite a few professionals along with the general audience, was inaugurated by Dr Varun Bhargava (President, PEACE Foundation), Dr Ashish Disawal (President, IMA Nagpur) and Mohan Sarwate (Director, Chitnavis Centre).
Addressing the people present, Dr Bhargava informed that the program intended at initiating a dialogue between the medical fraternity and the society and to highlight the changes in doctors and medical fraternity due to the direct or indirect actions and expectations of the society.
Well-know city businessman and philanthropist Vilas Kale represented the common man and eminent lawyer Wilson Mathew explored the legal outlook on the subject. Speaking on the topic, while Dr Shailesh Pangaonkar covered the psychological aspect in detail, Dr Anand Kate put forward the doctor’s perspective.
