Sonia Gandhi calls mega meeting of opposition parties to discuss COVID-19 crisis, plight of migrant labourers

Congress President Sonia Gandhi has called a meeting of opposition parties on May 22 to discuss the COVID-19 crisis in India and the issues pertaining to migrant labourers. Gandhi will chair the video-conference meeting, which will take place on May 22 at 3 pm, sources said.

As per reports, TMC Chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, JMM leader and Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, DMK leader MK Stalin, CPI-M’s Sitaram Yechury and RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav are among the top leaders from leading opposition parties expected to take part in the meeting.
