SpiceJet pilot, who did not fly international flights in March, tests positive for coronavirus

SpiceJet announced on Sunday that one of its pilots, who did not fly any international flights in March, has tested positive of coronavirus. The pilot’s test report came back on March 28.

SpiceJet’s spokesperson said that the pilot had not operated any international flights in March. The last domestic flight that he operated was from Chennai to Delhi on March 21, after which he had home quarantined himself.

“As a precautionary measure, all crew and staff, who were been in direct contact with the pilot, have been asked to home quarantine themselves for next 14 days,” SpiceJet spokesperson added.
