One of the most discussed controversies these days is Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover’s mid-air brawl which took place a week back. Post the fight wherein Kapil abused and reportedly slapped his fellow comedian, Sunil along with Ali Asgar and Chandan Prabhakar boycotted The Kapil Sharma Show and didn’t turn up for the shoot. However, another comedian Kiku Sharda shot for the show. Sunil has now revealed on Facebook that he will be performing at the live show – Dr Mashoor Gulati’s Comedy Clinic – along with Kiku at New Delhi on April 1, 2017.
Sunil shared a poster of the show on Facebook and wrote, “Delhi see you on the 1st April. Yo!” The Facebook post was later removed after which there were reports that the show may not take place. But when Nation Next spoke to Devang Shah, Sunil Grover’s assistant, he informed us that the show is going to take place. He said, “The Delhi show is definitely going to happen. Whatever happened on the flight has been published by the media and I cannot comment on the incident as I wasn’t present there in person.” On asking him about Ali Asgar and Chandan Prabhakar’s stern step of boycotting the show in protest, Shah said, “The media has written about everything; we have nothing else to say. Whatever was to be said has been said by Sunil himself on Twitter.”
Meanwhile, as Sunil, Ali and Chandan boycotted the show, the makers had roped in popular stand-up comedians Sunil Pal, Raju Srivastava and Ahsaan Qureshi to ensure that the weekend’s episode was shot and the scuffle doesn’t affect The Kapil Sharma Show. But it is being said that even after hiring these renowned stand-up comedians, the Saturday episode of The Kapil Sharma Show failed to make an impact on the fans. The episode featured Manoj Bajpayee and Taapsee Pannu, who appeared on the show to promote their upcoming film Naam Shabana, which is slated to release on March 31, 2017.
