More than 200 women participated in the initial audition round of the competition. Out of these 200 participants, 50 women headed to the semi finals. Out of the 50 women, 17 women then headed to the grand finale of the competition.
An elated Surbhi, while speaking about the competition, told Nation Next: “Winning this competition is a very emotional moment for me. My maternal grandmother passed away just three days before the competition. She would attend all the competitions, which I would be a part of. Just a thought of that gave me strength to go ahead with the competition. I would like to dedicate this win to my grandmother, whom I thoroughly missed throughout the finale. I think, its because of her blessings that I won. I would also like to thank my parents, my husband, my siblings and my grandparents for their never ending and rock-solid support.”
