Congress President Rahul Gandhi announced that Sushil Kumar Shinde would be soon replaced as the Congress in-charge of Himachal Pradesh.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday announced that former chief minister Sushil Kumar Shinde would be soon replaced by Rajni Patil as the Congress in-charge of Himachal Pradesh.

Jitendra Baghel and Biswaranjan Mohanty were appointed as the secretaries of Gujarat Congress. The AICC minority department, which was previously headed by Khurshid Ahmad Saiyad was replaced by Nadeem Javed. The Congress party also appointed two new secretaries in Bihar.

The changes were done as an aftermath of the electoral victory of Congress in the recent Karnataka Assembly elections in May. The party is now ensuring towards a show of opposition unity during the swearing-in ceremony of JD (S) president HD Kumaraswamy as the Chief Minister of Karnataka on Wednesday in Bengaluru.
