Former external affairs minister and senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj has been appointed as the Governor of Andhra Pradesh. Union Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan on Monday in his tweet wrote, “Congratulations to senior BJP leader and my elder sister, former External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swarajji on being appointed as the Governor of Andhra Pradesh. The people of Andhra Pradesh would get benefitted out of your vast experience in all spheres.”

Recently, it came as sad news for hundreds of people when Swaraj in April opted out of fighting the Lok Sabha election owing to health reasons. Twitter was flooded with well wishes for the former minister after it was confirmed that she was no longer a part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s new government.
