Nagpur has been named as India’s best city in innovation and best practices under the Swachh Survekshan 2018. The results of the survey were announced on Wednesday in New Delhi by Hardeep Singh Puri – Union minister for housing and urban affairs.
In the survey, which is conducted to assess cleanliness in urban India, more than 4000 Indian cities were surveyed from January to March 2018. Indore (MP), Bhopal (MP) and Chandigarh (Punjab) bagged the first, second and third place respectively for the cleanest Indian cities category. Mumbai was also adjudged as the cleanest state capital.
