Seventeen-year-old teenager named Pratik Wadekar from Ahmednagar in Maharashtra died on the spot while filming a video on a popular video-sharing app TikTok. Wadekar was filming a video along with his cousins at Shirdi on Wednesday when they accidentally pressed the trigger of a country-made pistol.

Wadekar along with his relatives Sunny Pawar (20), Nitin Wadekar (27), an 11-year-old boy and another young man were in Shirdi for the last rituals of a family member. The cousins, by posing with the pistol, decided to film a video to upload it on TikTok, while they were sitting in their hotel room at Shirdi.

As soon as Wadekar collapsed after being hit by the bullet, other youngsters immediately ran out of the room. When the hotel staff rushed to the room to stop them, the youngsters reportedly threatened to open fire and fled quickly.

Police rushed Wadekar to the government hospital where he was declared dead upon arrival. As per police, while a case was registered against Pawar, they arrested Nitin Wadekar. While the third relative is yet to be tracked, the fourth accused is a minor.
