Tehsil Police, on Tuesday night, arrested a drug peddler and confiscated 6.940 grams of cocaine worth Rs 48,300 from him.

Tehsil Police, on Tuesday night, arrested a drug peddler and confiscated 6.940 grams of cocaine worth Rs 48,300 from him. The drug peddler has been identified as Pushpesh Ramratan Saini (34), a resident of plot no. 239, Gurudeo Nagar, Nandanvan, Nagpur.

The police acted on a tip off received by senior police inspector Vaibhav Jadhav. On the basis of the tip off, Jadhav along with API Mohankar and woman staff of the police intercepted Saini and arrested him near Sona Restaurant near Gandhi Putla Square. Saini, who was driving his Honda Activa two-wheeler (MH-49/Q/0577), was carrying the cocaine in a plastic bag. Along with the coaine, the police also seized Saini’s two-whller, two mobile phones and a small weighing machine. Saini has been booked by Tehsil Police under section 21 of The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
