Film director N Chandra who directed the 1988 film Tezaab featuring Madhuri Dixit in the popular song ‘Ek Do Teen’ has called the remake of the song featuring actress Jacqueline Fernandez crass beyond imagination and a sex act. Chandra made the statement in an interview with The Quint. The 1988 song has been remade for the upcoming movie Baaghi 2 starring Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani.

Chandra, while speaking to The Quint said, “I can’t believe they’ve done this to Ek Do Teen. It’s crass beyond imagination. And Jacqueline Fernandez doing Madhuri Dixit’s number? Give me a break! It’s like turning the Central Park into a botanical garden. Madhuri danced with such grace and innocence. This number is like a sex act!”

Chandra also informed in the interview that he was told about the remake by choreographer Saroj Khan who choreographed the original song. He said, “I met Sarojji at Sridevi’s prayer meeting. It was there that Sarojji marched up to me to tell me about it. Can you imagine how much it had upset her that she needed to vent at such a solemn occasion? She came to me and said, ‘Have you seen what they’re doing to our Ek Do Teen number?’ I had no clue. She said she will take legal action against it.”

Along with Saroj Khan, N Chandra will also be taking legal action against the makers of Baaghi 2. Just like Chandra and Khan, many fans have also found the new ‘Ek Do Teen’ to be an insult to the original song and to Madhuri Dixit. They voiced their opinions on Twitter and called it rubbish. Well, here are both the songs – the original and the remake. Watch and decide for yourself!
