Three men brutally assault man in Dharampeth on Holi

Three men brutally assaulted a 45-year-old man at Zenda Chowk in Nagpur’s Dharampeth area on the day of Holi (March 21). The victim, Mansingh Ramsingh Sikarwar, was attacked over an old dispute with the assailants.

As per the police, when Sikarwar, a resident of Zenda Chowk, was speaking with a his friend Robin, the three assailants Amit Ghanshyam Patil (43), Santaram Sabnis (45) and Sonu Hanuprasad Choudhari (45) started fighting with Sikarwar and abused him. The three then started attacking Sikarwar with a knife and hurt him on his neck. As Sikarwar started to snatch the knife, his right hand was also injured.

When Nation Next spoke to Sub-Inspector Manish Wankhede at Sitabuldi Police Station, he said “We’re still uncertain of the reason behind the fight but we do know that all of them shared an unhealthy relationship from a long time. We’ve arrested two (Patil and Chaudhari) of the three accused as one of them is injured and admitted at Mayo Hospital for treatment. We will soon arrest him after recovery.”

Sitabuldi Police have booked the three assailants under sections 324, 506 and 34 of the IPC.
