In a shocking incident, two transporters were arrested by Wadi Police on Sunday for brutally assaulting and torturing a driver on Saturday in Nagpur’s Wadi area. The transporters Akhil Pohankar (30), owner of Waddhamna based Andhra-Karnataka transport, and Amit Thakre (29) hanged the driver upside down, stripped him off his clothes and then thrashed him. They also filmed the entire incident, the video of which went viral on social media.

As per the police, the 23-year-old driver Vicky Aglawe was given Rs 30,000 by Pohankar on July 26 for taking a truck (MH40/N/4886) filled with glass material from Nagpur to Thiruvananthapuram in Kerela. Aglawe, however, spent the entire money on liquor, feasting and buying clothes.
