Two including senior citizen booked by Nagpur Police for duping over 1,500 women

Nagpur Police have booked a man, a senior citizen, and a young woman for duping over 1,500 women of Rs 3.90 lakh collectively in a period of nearly two months.

As per the police complaint, the accused Mohandas Karamchand Kusbat (67) and Priyanka Mohandas Dikondwar (25), opened up an office of ‘Rashtriya Aadhar Gruh Udyog Bachat’ group at the complainant’s – Jyotsna Rajesh Tagde (38) residence at Rai Town at Hingna Road. The accused then asked Tagde to fill a form for the group’s membership for Rs 250.

Similarly, from January 28 to March 20, the accused took Rs 250 from around 1,527 women. The accused also took Rs 170 from 60 women on the pretext of applying for their respective PAN cards. When the Tagde and other women got suspicious and asked the accused to return their money, the accused shut down the office and fled.

Based on Tagde’s complaint the police have booked the senior citizen and the young woman under sections 406, 420 and 34 of the IPC.
