Two more Mumbai Police personnel succumb to Coronavirus

A 57-year-old Assistant Sub Inspector, Madhukar Mane, and a 32-year-old Assistant Police Inspector, Amol Kulkarni, from Mumbai Police recently died due to coronavirus. While Mane died on Friday, Kulkarni breathed his last of Saturday. So far, 11 Maharashtra Police personnel have lost their lives due to COVID-19. While eight were from Mumbai, other three police personnel were from Nashik, Pune and Solapur.

While Mane was attached to Motor Transport Department of Mumbai Police at Nagpada, Kulkarni was attached to Shahu Nagar Police Station. During this week, four Mumbai cops including Mane and Kulkarni have succumbed to COVID-19. Earlier, ASI Murlidhar Waghmare (57) from Sewri Police Station and police constable Bhagwan Parte (45) from Shivaji Nagar Police station died due to COVID-19.

Home Minister Anil Deshmukh visited the Shahu Nagar Police station on Saturday to console colleagues of API Kulkanri and pay his last respects to the COVID-19 warrior.
