Unconfirmed reports claim, Dawood Ibrahim dies of COVID-19

Unconfirmed reports of underworld don and fugitive Dawood Ibrahim succumbing to COVID-19 have been making rounds. A news channel ‘NewsX’ on June 6 claimed that as per sources, Ibrahim died due to COVID-19 in Karachi. Apart from the news channel, social media has also been abuzz with the same. However, there is no confirmation on the same yet.

On June 5, several media outlets had reported that Ibrahim and his wife had tested positive for coronavirus in Pakistan. Reportedly, Dawood and his wife Mehazabeen were undergoing treatment in Karachi’s military hospital as per intelligence agencies. The reports also stated that Dawood’s personal staff and guards were also quarantined.
