Veteran actor and comedian Dinyar Contractor, who acted in popular films like Baadshah, Khiladi, etc., passed away at the age of 79 on Wednesday in Mumbai. As per reports, the actor died due to old-age related ailments. The cremation will take place on Wednesday at Worli prayer hall for Parsis in Mumbai.
Contractor, who also appeared in popular television shows like Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and Khichdi, was conferred with the Padma Shri in January 2019.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled Contractor’s death, saying that he is saddened by the actor’s demise.
