VIA conducts a seminar on ‘Opportunities for SMEs in Food Processing Sector’ in Nagpur

    Vidarbha Industries Association (VIA) and Agro and Rural Development Forum in a tie-up with Grant Thornton India LLP, organised a full day seminar on ‘Opportunities for SMEs in Food Processing Sector’ at Chitnavis Centre on November 26, 2016. Businessmen at VIA seminar, said that keeping in mind ‘Make in India’ initiative, the Ministry of Food Processing has been undertaking various steps to create suitable opportunities and scope for aspiring entrepreneurs for setting various businesses.

    Various industrialists from different food and agricultural sectors shared their experiences and discussed ideas and opportunities in Make in India initiative.

    PK Nath and Atul Pande, who were one of the key speakers, inaugurated the VIA seminar. Various entrepreneurs discussed topics like opportunities in grain processing, opportunities in dairy processing, opportunities in spices processing, etc. Also, great success stories by entrepreneurs Manohar Bhojwani and Shyam Laddha motivated and inspired the audience.

    Businessman Arun Khobragade discussed the topic ‘Building ecosystem for food processing startups in Vidarbha’ and Sr Consultant, Grant Thornton India LLP Yashwant Bhojwani enlightened the audience by discussing ‘Schemes of assistance of agro/food processing industries’ in detail. Chairman of VIA Agro and Rural Development Forum Om Jajodia gave his vote of thanks and Joint Commissioner SR Kekare concluded the session.
