Sanjeev Pendharkar, Director, VICCO Laboratories, during the Konkan Enclave held on August 19 at Sahara Star, shared his business experiences and gave some invaluable tips for building – Brand Konkan. Pendharkar was invited as an honourable guest during the inauguration ceremony of Konkan Enclave.
Prominently present during the occasion were Ashish Wakankar (Head, International Business and Strategy, Tata Asset Management), Anil Gachake (Chairman, Maharashtra Economic Development Council) and Sanjay Bhide (Secretary and Convener, Trans Asian Chamber of Commerce).
The inauguration coincided with a panel discussion on ‘Brand Konkan,’ during which Pendharkar addressed relevant questions on branding and provided suggestions to build Konkan as a successful brand.
Pendharkar, during his address, shared his experiences while establishing, and managing VICCO as one of the world’s most iconic brands. He also spoke about the special ingredients that go into the recipe of brand building to help many budding entrepreneurs who were also present during the ceremony. Pendharkar said, “VICCO’s incredible connect with its consumers and the brand’s focus on catering to the well being of the society are few of the many elements that you need to concentrate on.”
Delighted and ecstatic to be present at Konkan Conclave, Pendharkar said, “Konkan diversity is something, which is unparalleled. Endowed with the coastline a far, this region is an abode to drop dead gorgeous beaches such as Nandgaon beach, Arnala beach, Kashid beach, Diveagar beach, etc.” Pendharkar also applauded Maharashtra Government’s decision to provide licenses for shacks and beach beds on the Konkan coast.
He further added, “The region is an awesome assortment of splendid forts and sea forts, divine temples and unmatched Konkan culture. Also, the close location of Mumbai international airport adds to the feasibility of the region as a perfect tourist hotspot. Grouping up of Maharashtra government with Konkan Bhumi Pratishthan (KBP) in order to aid and develop responsible tourism in the region is a big step to attract visitors all over the world. I genuinely support the efforts of everyone who are working towards lifting the growth of sustainable tourism in the region and wish them all the best in their ongoing and future endeavours.”
VICCO was established in 1952 by late KV Pendharkar. Over the years, the brand has displayed an amazing growth trajectory by expanding its portfolio in various segments like skin care and personal care. Under Sanjeev Pendharkar’s supervision, the brand continues to pave way for health revolution.
