    Reacting to the resignation of BS Yeddyurappa as the CM of Karnataka, mega film star Rajinikanth, said that the development in Karnataka was a win for democracy.

    Reacting to the resignation of politician BS Yeddyurappa as the CM of Karnataka ahead of the floor test in Karnataka Assembly yesterday, mega film star Rajinikanth, on Sunday in Chennai, said that the development in Karnataka was a win for democracy.

    ANI quoted Rajinikanth as saying, “What happened in yesterday was a win for democracy. BJP asking for some more time and the Governor giving 15 days time was a mockery of democracy. I would like to thank Supreme Court for its order, which upheld the democracy.”

    The film star also spoke about his politicial plans. He told the news agency, “The decision for contesting elections in 2019 will be taken at the time when the elections are announced. The party is not yet launched but we are ready for anything. Also, it is too early to talk about any kind of alliance.”
