DCP (Crime) Sambhaji Kadam, while speaking to mediapersons at the spot, said “In the morning, we got the information that a woman’s dead body was found in a water tank at Traffic Park. The water was not flowing from the tap from the last few days and there was also a foul smell arising from the tank. DCP Kadam informed that the woman’s husband, Raja Yadav, is being considered as the prime accused in the murder of the woman, who might have been killed 3-4 days back. The police has arrested Raja Yadav and is interrogating him and investigating the case further.

When asked as to why such a thing took place in a crowded area like Dharampeth in spite of the police’s Operation Crackdown, DCP Kadam said, “This has nothing to do with Operation Crackdown. This is entirely because of a personal problem between the couple.”
