Nagpur’s biggest garba – The Raaas – saw a huge young gathering of garba revellers, dancing away to glory on the third night of Navratri celebrations, at The Empress Palace at Wardha Road. Besides youngsters, a lot of family groups were also seen grooving to the beats of famous singers like Priyani Vani, Saagar Kendurkar, Ishan Khan, Jatin Udasi and Farhan Sabri.
The third Navratri night at The Raaas proved to be more enchanting for garba revellers of Nagpur, especially women, as they got to mingle with their favourite TV star Shivangi Joshi (Naira of famous TV serial Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai).
Tonight, garba at Raaas is going to be extra special, as ‘Ye Hai Mohabbatein’ star Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya will be visiting The Raaas to celebrate Navratri with Nagpurians. Divyanka, who’s one of the sought-after actresses in television industry, has been an Indian household name for more than a decade now. When we spoke to a group of five girls playing garba at The Raaas last night, they said in unison, “It was such a great experience to play garba with our favourite star Shivangi, and we all are so excited with the thought of sharing the dance floor with Divyanka tomorrow. We all are such huge fans of her infectious smile! We are really looking forward to see her in person.”
The Raaas will continue to be a starry event, as in coming days, you are going to witness more Bollywood and TV stars like Sohail Khan, Kartik Aaryan (Pyar Ka Punchnama Fame), Varun Sharma (Fukrey Fame), Aayush Sharma (Loveyatri Fame), actor Dilip Joshi (Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma Fame), etc. enjoying garba at The Raaas. Garba players will also get to groove to the foot-tapping numbers by famous singers like Tulsi Kumar, Rahul Vaidya and Gajendra Verma in coming days.
Conceptualised by Varsha Kukreja and Jeetesh Rakheja, The Raaas is being organised in association with Nagpur’s number one digital news channel ‘Nation Next’ (as the media partner), and the event is being sponsored by certain topmost brands like T Series, Shreeji Tours and Travels, Blive Entertainment, Kukreja Infrastructure, Black Sword Furniture, Madhuban Village, Sandesh Group, Batukbhai Sons Jewellers, Kutz and Ankit Jewellers.
