All zonal offices of NMC should work on the principle of Zero Pendency: CM Devendra Fadnavis

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, on Sunday, said that all zonal offices of Nagpur Municipal Corporation should work on the principle of Zero Pendency.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, on Sunday, said that all zonal offices of Nagpur Municipal Corporation should work on the principle of – Zero Pendency. Fadnavis further added that to ensure that the citizens get relief, a file should be processed on the same day it comes at the office. Fadnavis was speaking on the occasion of the inauguration of the newly constructed building of Satranjipura Zone office of Nagpur Municipal Corporartion.

Speaking further, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, “I have implemented a zero pendency system in my ministry. More than one crore files have been settled.” Fadnavis instructed Nagpur Mayor Nanda Jichkar to try to settle the file the day it is filed. The CM also congratulated NMC for building a new building of Satarangipura zone. Fadnavis said, “Nitinji was the construction minister when I was the Mayor of Nagpur. At that time, municipal operations were handled in a centralized way. At that time, I and Nitinji had started the functioning of the municipal corporation by implementing decentralized work. The then corporator and current MLA Krishna Khopde had taken the initiative to demand for a zonal office at Satranjipura. Today, a well-equipped building of Satranjipura zone is standing.”

Also present during the inauguration were Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Rajya Sabha MP Dr Vikas Mahatme, MLAs Krishna Khopde, Vikas Kumbhare, Dr Milind Mane, and Sudhakar Deshmukh, MLC Girish Vyas, Deputy Mayor Deepraj Pardiikar, Standing Committee Chairman Virendra Kukreja, leader of the opposition Sandip Joshi, NMC Commissioner Ashwin Mudgal and other important officials from the NMC.
